A Member has created a profile and chosen to list their practice in our directory. A Verified member has gone a step further: we have reviewed the professional credentials they claim and confirmed they held them as of the review date. Verification is about credentials, not a promise about results — and it's free and open to members on any plan.
What "Verified" means
When you see the Verified on A Hypnotist Near Me badge, it means:
- The practitioner submitted the certifications, training, or professional credentials listed on their profile.
- A member of our team reviewed that information against the issuing body's records or the practitioner's documentation, and confirmed the credential(s) appear to be genuine and current at the time of review.
That's it. It's a credential check — the same basic question a careful client would ask: "Are you actually certified in what you say you're certified in?"
What "Verified" does NOT mean
This is the honest part, and it matters. The Verified badge does not mean:
- That we guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any session. We don't supervise or observe practitioners' work.

- That we endorse or recommend the practitioner over anyone else.
- That the credential is guaranteed to be current forever. Credentials can lapse. We verify at a point in time and may re-check.
Choosing a practitioner is still your decision. We give you a verified starting point and the information to choose well — we don't make the choice for you.
How a practitioner gets verified
- The practitioner lists their credentials on their profile and submits supporting details (and, where available, documents) for review.
- Our team checks those credentials against the issuing organization's standards or records.
- If they check out, we grant the Verified badge. If something can't be confirmed, the profile stays a Member listing until it can be.
Verification is free. It is not tied to how much a practitioner pays — a Member on any plan can be verified, and paying more does not buy the badge.
The badge always points to the live profile
A practitioner may display their badge on their own website. The badge links back to their profile on A Hypnotist Near Me, which is the single source of truth for their current status. If a practitioner's verification is withdrawn — for example, if a credential lapses or we find information that isn't accurate — their profile is updated, and the badge no longer reflects a verified status. Always trust the live profile over a badge image you see elsewhere.
